Celebrating Pi Day with Edison Robots!

Celebrating Pi Day with Edison Robots!

Pi (π) is one of the most studied numbers in mathematics, essential for understanding geometry, physics, astronomy, and even architecture—from bridges to the Pyramids of Giza! On International Pi Day, our Year 9 Digital Technologies students put their coding skills to the test with a fun and engaging challenge.

Students worked collaboratively to program their Edison robots, guiding them to drive over as many digits of Pi as possible. It was fantastic to see them embrace the challenge, demonstrating our school values of Whakapono (integrity), Wero (challenge), and Manaakitanga (respect and care for others) as they problem-solved and supported each other.

A great time was had by all, and the students are looking forward to even more innovative coding challenges in the future!
