Waikato Regional Get2Go Event

On Tuesday, August 10th,  two teams of Year 9 and 10 students travelled to Cambridge to take part in the annual Get2Go Regional Event, which also acts as a qualifier event for the Get2Go Grand Final on Great Barrier Island. This years event was made up of three 80-minute activities; Orienteering, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Mountain Biking. 

Our teams raced against 20 other teams from around the Waikato. This year, we narrowly missed out on taking out the event, with St Pauls and Waikato Dioscean winning by 14 points. Our teams consistently performed well over all of the activities and they remained focused and determined to be competitive with the other top schools. It is fantastic to see so many Year 9 and 10 students coming along to adventure racing training and events, which will continue to ensure growth within the sport.
