Nui students bring science to the lake

Students in option science (year 10) have been researching and making alternative clays for use over the lake. The focus was on making the clays more environmentally friendly as they land in the lake. Students made clays of ice, sand, flour, salt, and natural colouring. While on the floating classroom, students pitched their product to Chris Jolly and launched them from the boat. The clays flew similar to commercially produced ones. Students enjoyed the process and the chance to try to shoot their clays!
