Students achieve success at NZSS Triathlon Champs in Wanaka

We’ve had another outstanding set of results from some fantastic athletes at Nui. Several students competed in Wanaka this past weekend in the NZSS Triathlon Champs. We would like to congratulate Sophie Webber, who placed 3rd in the U13 Girls,  Ivan Abele, who placed 2nd in the U19 boys, and Ben Raven, who finished 9th in the U19 Boys. We are also pleased to see that Sasha Parize-Baker came 21st in the U16 Boys race in his first event at the national level. Ben and Ivan also went on to compete in the Teams Relay event, teaming with two other boys from Gisborne. They were the fastest team overall, winning the title in their category. Very well done!
