The first-ever King Country Rugby Union U18 Girls 15 a side rugby team!

The first-ever King Country Rugby Union U18 Girls 15 a side rugby team was named, with 9 Nui girls announced on the team. Ella Wisnewski was also named as the team Captain.

 The girls headed to New Plymouth where they played a tri tournament against Taranaki and Wanganui during the first week of the holidays. The team won the first game against Taranaki, 22-5, then won against Wanganui, 17-5. They progressed through to the final against Taranaki, winning 10-7. A great result for our girls against tough competition--awesome to see them creating history!
