Nui students participate in Torpedo 7 Get2Go Junior Champs at Great Barrier Island

For the first time, we have a team participating in the Torpedo 7 Get2Go National Junior Champs. The challenge is running from Sunday to Friday on Great Barrier Island. The event consists of full days of problem solving, water challenges and 2 days of expedition in the bush. So far, our team have competed in a raft building challenge, which required four team members to paddle to next bay, while the other four ran through the bush. They transitioned at BBQ Bay and the runners paddled back, while the rafters ran. This took them 34 minutes and they finished the challenge in the middle of the field at 6th place. We are looking forward to what the rest of the week brings!
