Geothermal STEM Day

Geothermal Week Learning

Students in year 10 Maths and Science worked with geologists and scientists from Auckland University on STEM activities during Geothermal Week.

The challenge was to build a structure of at least 0.5m tall that could withstand a shaking earthquake.  Some outstanding structures were created by many budding design consultants, engineers, architects, and builders. The students really enjoyed the practical learning and had a lot of fun designing their structures.
