Cohen Ludlam Successful BMX!

Cohen Ludlam Successful BMX!

Further National Championship Honors for Cohen

After recent success at the Oceania Bmx Championships,  Year 11 student Cohen Ludlam travelled to Invercargill (the most southern Bmx race track in the world) to compete in the 2025 BMX NZ National Championships on 22nd of March.

A daunting third jump into the first corner was causing mayhem with many competitors, who struggled to navigate the jump smoothly and safely, with several hard crashes ending their NZ Title dreams.

For Cohen it was no different, with little track time and practice before racing started, he battled with confidence to take on the jump into the first corner. However, Cohen fought through his qualifying mottos to once again qualify for the Championship final.

Starting from an unfavorable outside lane, he took advantage of some carnage into the first corner, flying through the rest of the track to chase down and take 2nd place on the line.

Another impressive podium finish for Cohen now NZ2 for his age group after his 3rd place at the Oceania Champs in February means he now sets his sights on the 2026 Bmx World Championships to be held in Brisbane, Australia.

Congratulations Cohen!
