The implementation of our new phone policy has already had positive effects in the classroom. We thank you for your support of a distraction free learning environment. During 2021 all students will be required to hand their phone in at the start of the lesson to be locked away. A mobile phone can easily turn from a learning tool into classroom disruption. When students use their cell phones to check social media and text their friends in class it leads to distraction for those students as well as for their peers. Any student caught using a phone in class this year will have their device confiscated and parents will be required to pick them up from the school office, following an automated text.
