Following our Athletics Finals day, the top 3 placegetters in each event qualify to represent the College at the Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Athletics Championships in Tauranga. We sent a team of 13 athletes and could have sent so many more but with such a tight turnaround as a result of delaying our Colours Day, we were unable to do so.
Many thanks to Ms Weston for being up bright and early to look after the students for the day. It's a busy day with the students spread far and wide competing in their individual events mostly at the same time. So thank you for keeping up with their results and making sure everyone was where and when they needed to be!
Congratulations to Zene Erasmus achieving 1st and then competing at the Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Championships finishing 2nd in her javelin event. This qualified her to represent the Waikato region at the upcoming North Island Secondary School Athletics Championships in Auckland this weekend.
All the other amazing results from our students are listed below. Congratulations to all of you.
