Congratulations to our two teams that competed at the recent North Island Secondary Schools Junior Volleyball Championships.
The boys, following their BOPSS Championships 8th place finish, secured a spot in Division 1/2 for the first time in over 5 years.
They took almost all games to 3 sets, often winning the first and these were against some much higher ranked teams, in fact two of them went on to finish 5th and 11th overall.
The girls started in Division 2 and fought hard to be there winning a few and taking others to 3 sets. A great week of growth and competitive volleyball and a bunch of fun as a team.
We are also very thankful to the coaches and parents who made this possible for the players. It's a big week for all the organisation of travel, accommodation and food and that's before anyone makes it to the court.
