Winter Tournament- North Island Secondary Schools Equestrian Champs 2025
The Champs are a 4 day tournament where horse riders are part of a school team but ride and compete individually in different disciplines within the equestrian sport.
The timetable is run in such a way that they also have time to support their team mates.
79 teams competed in the Years 9 -13 division.
We had 10 riders split into 2 teams.
Red team: Ciana Cooper, Alex Gabb, Grace Harcourt, Evie Ross and Mylee Singleton.
Green team: Ella Nelson, Molly Stirk, Pippa Cooper, Paige Fitzgerald and Sophie Von Klitzing.
Prizegiving was held at the completion of the event and we were incredibly proud to hear that our Red team was placed 3rd overall in the Show Jumping discipline.
Many thanks to the parents and caregivers who gave up their time so that their child had the opportunity to compete in this hugely popular event, and to Carla Harcourt for taking on the role of Team Manager.
