During the final week of term 1 the year 12 Tourism students had the pleasure of travelling to see one of the top tourist destinations in New Zealand. It was a great experience to live in a different world on many levels for a couple of hours. They saw things from the movie world (The Hobbit, Lords of the Rings); saw international tourism on a grand level with literally hundreds of tourists there at the same time as them, they experienced the professionalism of an international enterprise and saw the expertise of crafts people involved in the construction of these 'sets'.
