On the weekend, our Boys Hockey 1st XI team played in an invitational tournament against Taradale College, Heretaunga College and Tauhara College. On the first day, they played two games which they won, 2-0 and 1-0, respectively. On Sunday they played against Taradale, who will play in the Rankin Cup this year. The boys came back from a 1-0 and finished in a draw, 1-1. In the finals, Nui played the best hockey of the season, and won with a convincing 5-0 score over Heretaunga. The spirit was great, the connections awesome. Nice preparation for Tournament Week!
