The Brave Project

The Brave Project

'The Brave Project', founded by AJ Hackett, aims to develop resilience in students. So, after completing a unit looking at what causes fear, the physical effects, and strategies in overcoming fear, seven students from 10TG1 were offered a Bungy Jump to put their learning into practise. Before jumping, students had heart rate monitors put on to see how their bodies reacted to the experience, and then it was time to jump!! It's fair to say that there were some nerves showing but everyone completed the mission! A huge thanks to Sonya at Taupo Bungy for organising this amazing opportunity and to Mrs Milne for taking her students to jump; it was awesome seeing the students' reactions to the challenge.
